Welcome to two-tongued, for those that eat and speak with multiple tongues. We are a group of food enthusiasts from Chicago. We come from all walks of life and cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The two-tongued team believes that food is inherent in how peoples relate to each other; it’s also how we begin to understand not only our heritages but differing cultures and perspectives from across the globe. Writers at two-tongued love reading, watching, and generally consuming culinary media, but find that certain perspectives dominate. We seek to lift up cuisines, cultures, and points of view less often represented in the food sector. We challenge the ideas of “appropriation” and “influence” in cookery. And, we believe that delicious food can be both sensible and well-informed. Taste what we have to offer.
